Reiki is channeled universal life force energy that can be used for many purposes, a technique for stress-reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Being a pure energy source, it heals and balances on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels and always works for whatever is the highest good. The system for applying Reiki is dogma-free and while it is inherently spiritual, it is not associated with any religion. It is for everyone: the sick, injured, healthy, young, old—anyone who wants to feel good. Reiki Circle 1^st Sundays of the month 3-5 pm All are welcome and no experience with Reiki is necessary. We will start with a short teaching, meditation or Reiki news event followed by a sharing of Reiki on tables. Each person will be able to offer and receive universal life force energy. The circle is the perfect no-pressure time to experience this healing modality and meet others in the community with similar interests. Come and reduce stress while experiencing relaxation, peace and fun. Cost: sliding scale of $5.00 to $10.00 Classes Level I: Sunday, January 17 & 24 12-3pm (2 part class, 6 hours total) Includes a copy of William Lee Rand's Reiki: The Healing Touch First & Second Degree Manual and a class completion certificate. During this class students learn what Reiki is, its history, how to channel it, how to use it to heal the self and others (including pets and plants), information on the chakras and energy bodies, as well as meditations and exercises for self-care and protection. Students receive two sets of attunements (energetic initiations to enable the channeling of the energy). The class is scheduled with a week between sessions to give students time to begin to integrate the first set of attunements, to practice using the energy and to gather questions and observations before coming back together. Level II: Class dates and more information coming soon Includes a copy of William Lee Rand's Reiki: The Healing Touch First & Second Degree Manual and a class completion certificate. During this class students receive more attunements and learn how to send Reiki across time and distance. Because Level II is the practitioner level, Michelle will happily provide as much practice time in her studio to help you feel as comfortable as you need. Cost: $175/person. Master / Teacher Level: Includes a copy of William Lee Rand's Advanced Reiki Training/Master Manual and a class completion certificate. Each master student will have a somewhat different experience based on what he/she needs. Cost: $300/person. Class Packages: Purchasing a class package saves money as well as guarantees your spot in the next upcoming course. Level I + II: $250 (savings of $50) Level I + II + Master / Teacher: $500 (savings of $100) Michelle has always been sensitive to energy. Not only can she see how people are feeling through body language and facial expressions, but she can also feel some of it. Everyone has this ability to some extent; she is just better at it than most. She’s also always been a healer. On both conscious and unconscious levels, ever since she was a small child, Michelle has used her almost ever-present cheerfulness and positivity to heal those around her. Spending many years in corporate America left her feeling empty. Yes, she was a very good project manager, but she knew it wasn’t what she came on Earth to do. After becoming an adoptive mother to two amazing boys, a major change was inevitable. She and her family moved to Portland, and in the way things happen when they’re meant to be, she almost immediately learned Reiki. Using her innate sensitivity to energy while giving Reiki and teaching it serves her well. Michelle’s intuition has strengthened a great deal over time and she uses it extensively when treating clients, talking with them and teaching students. It is her personal mission to be of the highest and best service to everyone.
